An economist-musician? Is that possible? Yes, and the proof of this is Juozas, who plays drums in the indie rock band “IndieCa”. The guys warmed up Vidas Bareikis and the band “8 Kambarys” at the VU student event “Supernova”. Next is a trip to the Tallinn Music Festival and the young band Competition “Garažas”.
A model and a student of economics
Viktorija enrolled into model selection relatively late, after reaching maturity. But it only took one smile to get an agency’s invitation and a cooperation agreement. Today, she is happy with the growing number of shows, and after graduating she dreams of associating her hobby with her profession.
An athlete and a student of quantitative economics
Ugnė began her sports career in athletic gymnastics, later took up multi-gymnastics. This is the experience that brought Ugnė into the current hobby, the 400 metres hurdles. However, we can hardly call it just a hobby – if we pay a visit, we’ll see lots of rewards.
“Sport builds the will. After all, you would rather sit around or watch a movie, but you have to go to a training session. Going in for sport teaches planning as well, otherwise one would find it difficult to find time for studies and personal life as well, ”the student says.

International education in Lithuania
Two Lithuanian scientists, after returning from abroad, joined forces to create a programme that would become an alternative to gifted graduates ready to study abroad. They were assisted by the Bank of Lithuania who invited world famous researchers to teach in that programme. Therefore, the lectures are being delivered in English, instead of the regular mobile application for books, and the duration of studies has been reduced to 3 years.
